Q: What is the AMTC AEF-801 DUALFLUSH™ Automatic Flush Valve Conversion Kit?

A: The AEF-801 DUALFLUSH™ Automatic Flush Valve Conversion Kit is an electronic infrared flushing device that attaches to an existing Sloan Royal, Sloan Regal, or Zurn Aquaflush model manual-type flushometer on urinals and toilets to convert into an automatic flushing system.

Q: Why is the AMTC AEF-801 DUALFLUSH™ Automatic Flush Valve Conversion Kit better than the rest?

A: The AMTC AEF-801 is the most advanced automatic flushing system available today. It includes many important features such as user-friendly switches to adjust settings, long battery life with simple replacement, and a strong solid metal cover for resisting vandalism. It is also the only conversion kit that allows for the flush handle of the flushometer to be used as an alternate flush option. This feature is important because it allows your urinal or toilet to be flushed manually even when the batteries are completely drained. This feature is ideal for places installing multiple units to prevent an “out of order” maintenance headache when batteries need to be replaced.

Q: Do I need to use the flush handle with the AEF-801 DUALFLUSH™?

A. No. The flush handle may be kept on the converted flushometer as an alternate manual flush option. However, the AEF-801 Conversion Kit includes a handle cover that can be installed in place of the handle if that option is not desired.

Q: Do I need any accessories to install the AEF-801 DUALFLUSH™ Conversion Kit?

A: Maybe. You might need some accessories to complete the conversion with the AEF-801. We recommend to replace the diaphragm when installing the AEF-801 onto an existing manual flushometer if it is worn. We also recommend to install a flush handle to the existing flushometer if replacing another automatic flush device with the AEF-801 to allow for an alternate manual flush option.

Q: Can I mix the hot and cold water to get a desired temperature output with the AEF-301 Automatic Faucet?

A: Yes. To mix the hot and cold water together you will need to purchase a Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV). The TMV is an accessory that is attached to the control box of the AEF-301 automatic faucet to mix the hot and cold water and to adjust water temperature.

Q: Can I use electricity to power the AEF-301 Automatic Faucet?

A: Yes. You will need to purchase the 6 Volt AC Power Plug-in Adapter to convert the power source to AC power. When the AC power adapter is used, the battery becomes a back-up power source in case of electrical failure.
